Established in 1991 by Joe Johnston.
Started as a band rehearsal space then began recording full time. Cake recorded its debut album, Motorcade of Generosity there, while Papa Roach, Deftones and Oleander all recorded demos.
The studio moved to its current location in 2001, after a decade in more ramshackle surroundings on I Street in North Highlands, just off Watt Avenue.[1]
